There are many reasons why someone seeks out psychotherapy. It may be a family crisis, a painful relationship, feeling trapped in repetitive habits or destructive patterns that are causing great suffering for you or the people around you. These struggles might be: eating disorders, parenting your child/teenager, or a past history of abuse and trauma that continues to resurface and is damaging your relationships. Sometimes the need is less clear but a person may feel “stuck” in some aspect of life and find it difficult to move forward. Psychotherapy can help; growth and change are always possible!
I bring over twenty years of experience working with children, adolescents, families and individuals. I have a therapeutic style that is authentic, interactive, and kind. In my many years of clinical experience across a variety of settings, I have worked with almost any struggle you can imagine. My work is informed by several theoretical models and by current research (please see how I work). As unique as humans are, I do not believe that a “one size fits all” type of psychotherapy is the best approach. Instead –together — we will examine what has brought you to the point of seeking treatment and from there we will determine the most effective methods and tools to bring you or your loved ones to a better place in life.
